March 30th, 2010 -- Dear Friends,

I’m writing to ask for your support in recovering steelhead—the Washington State Fish. At this moment, wild steelhead are in peril statewide, with five different populations listed as “threatened” under the federal Endangered Species Act. It is essential that we act now to stabilize wild steelhead populations before they disappear entirely.

February 4th, 2010 -- Lilliwaup Hatchery’s summer chum supplementation program, originally scheduled to conclude this February with the final release of adult fish into Lilliwaup Creek, may be extended.

February 2nd, 2010 -- Lilliwaup Hatchery staff are preparing for the 4th field season of the Hood Canal Steelhead Project (HCSP).
