New Board Members
With the new year, LLTK welcomed two new members to our Board of Directors.

Lisa W. Seeb, Ph.D. (Research Professor, University of Washington School of Aquatic and Fishery Sciences)
Lisa conducts studies and trains students in the emerging field of conservation genomics. Prior to joining the UW in 2007, she directed the genetics program at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game in Anchorage, conducting research on the conservation and management of fish species important to commercial and sport fisheries. Lisa has served on scientific panels for the North Pacific Anadromous Fish Commission and Pacific Salmon Commission and was one of the independent scientists for the Puget Sound and Coastal Washington Hatchery Scientific Review Group. During her career, she has authored over 70 scholarly articles published in scientific journals.

Tim Thompson (President, Thompson Smitch Consulting Group)
Tim is President of Thompson Smitch Consulting Group, which he founded in 2001 after
developing a successful consulting practice at the law firm of Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell. At Gordon, Thomas, Honeywell, Tim served as the Legislative Assistant, District Director and eventually top aide to Congressman Norm Dicks. He worked for Congressman Dicks in Washington D.C. and the State of Washington for close to 10 years.
Over the past two decades, Tim has established himself as one of the Northwest's top negotiator/facilitators and strategists on important public/private natural resources and economic issues. He has successfully negotiated some of the Pacific Northwest's most complex environmental and economic agreements, including the Centralia Power Plant Cleanup, the Washington State Forest and Fish Agreement and the Murray Pacific, Port Blakely, Tacoma Water and Mid Columbia Habitat Conservation Plans. He was also instrumental in establishing the Tri County (King, Pierce and Snohomish County) salmon restoration initiative which led to the establishment of the Federal $100 million West Coast Salmon Initiative.
