In 2009, it was announced that Barbara Cairns, LLTK Executive Director of thirteen years, would be stepping down to pursue new opportunities; we began wrapping up our work on the USFWS' Pacific Region Federal Hatchery Review; and we held a series of strategic retreats to refine and hone our next major project areas. Our fall Chairman's Council luncheon focused on the question of why life history diversity is critical to salmon survival.
