Reports to the Director of Finance and Administration and works closely, as needed, with the Executive Director, Development Associate, and Director of Community Development
Responsibilities will include:
- Bookkeeping, including the collection of financial data and recording to a computerized accounting program (MIP)
- Filing of Financial Supporting Documents, and other Clerical Activities incidental to financial activities
- Accounts Payable and Vendor Management
- Accounts Receivable Management
- Disbursement of Financial Information, as needed, to staff, vendors, and other external contacts
- Assist with Banking Activities, including check disbursement, deposits, and reconciliations
- Assist with Payroll Processing, Reporting, and Recording
- Petty Cash Management
- General Ledger Maintenance and Reconciliation
- Assist with Financial Statement Preparation, Review, and Analysis
- Assist with Budget Preparation
- Inventory Management
- Assist with Fundraising Database (SAGE) Management
- Assist with Office Management and Organization Events, as needed
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), especially FASB 116 & FASB 117, as well as other Non-Profit Accounting Standards.
- Knowledge of OMB Circulars A-110, A-122, and A-133
- Knowledge of MIP Accounting Program
- Knowledge of MS Word and Excel
- Bachelors Degree Required; Advance Education Preferred
- Demonstrated Accuracy & Commitment
